This romantic Florida wedding at Sydonie Mansion, outside of Orlando gave me all the feels! I knew I was going to love photographing Shameka and Jose’s wedding after spending time with them during their engagement session at Cypress Grove Park.

If you’ve never visited Sydonie Mansion or attended a wedding there, I highly recommend you take some time to go tour the property. It is an absolutely beautiful hidden gem, not far from Orlando, Florida. The property is large and sits near a small lake with the most picturesque scenery. It has a European vibe to it, complete with beautiful gardens that make it a wedding photography dream!

Shameka and Jose’s wedding day was so full of love and sentiment; from the personalized garment hangers Shameka had made for her and her mom’s dresses to the charm attached to her bouquet that I sent her to have on her wedding day in memory of her mom.

Shameka and Jose had been planning their wedding throughout 2019 when Shameka’s mom, Tangela passed away suddenly and unexpectedly just a few months before their wedding. They were so close and it was an absolute heartbreak to Shameka and her family. Being among them on their wedding day made it impossible not to feel the love Shameka’s mom brought to everyone and her memory was woven throughout the day.

The people that surrounded Shameka and Jose were truly there for them and it was so amazing to watch. Even though they had lost so much just a few months before, they came together for the love of one another and created a celebration full of meaning, love, and laughter.

Crystal was a delight to work with. We hired her to photograph our wedding this past December. She communicated with us throughout the entire process leading up to the big day. I love how enthusiastic she is while shooting. She has a fun playful personality that makes you feel more relaxed while having your photos taken. We received our photos just a few weeks after the wedding, which we expected since that was communicated to us. The photos were absolutely beautiful. It was so hard for me to narrow down our favorites and not post all 600+ photos because I loved them all! I would definitely recommend Crystal for your event or any photoshoot. ~Shameka
