If you’re looking to get engaged on a beautiful, rocky beach with cliffs beside the ocean, then El Matador State Beach in Malibu, California is for you.
S. reached out to me in the fall to ask if I was available to photograph her and her girlfriend, B., because S. was planning to propose and she wanted to have me document it. S. was so excited, her energy radiated through the phone. I knew I wanted to be there for her and B. when S. asked the big question.
Together we made a plan that included a picnic setup by Kim Ebeling of Ebeling Events and floral arrangements from Kreative Hands. When proposal day came, Kim and I met an hour before S. and B. were scheduled to arrive to find a spot. Kim set up for the picnic and I looked for a place to sit where S. and B. wouldn’t see me.
When they arrived and walked towards the picnic Kim set up for them, B.’s face lit up with a smile. S. got down on one knee and B. immediately started crying. Then she said ‘Yes!’
