White Point Park beach elopement and wedding ceremony in Los Angeles California with Crystal Lily Photography

This intimate Los Angeles destination wedding ceremony at White Point Beach in Southern California was worth the wait. Deziray and Bobby got married with their immediate family and two munchkins as witnesses in June and it was so sweet to photograph.

Deziray reached out in January, 2018 to ask if I would be available that summer for an intimate destination wedding ceremony. She explained that they would be traveling into Los Angeles from Kansas City, Missouri and they really wanted to get married in Southern California. Deziray and I connected pretty quickly and by the end of our first call, she told me she knew she wanted to work with me, but she had to talk to Bobby about it. Even though I had to wait for confirmation, I was pretty thrilled, because I really liked her vibe.

Fast forward to life happening when Deziray and Bobby had to altar their wedding plans. Deziray kept checking in with me though. I would laugh whenever she’d send an email that included things like “Hey, girl, hey! Remember me??” and my personal favorite when they were finally able to book: “Will you still have me?”

When Deziray and Bobby’s wedding day came around, I was so excited to spend the afternoon with them! I met them at their hotel to get some of their getting ready moments before heading to White Point Park where the beach they chose to get married on was.

The overcast sky and distant onlookers didn’t bother Deziray or Bobby one bit. (Also, why random strangers will stop to watch the ceremonies of people they don’t know will always make me wonder.) Their ceremony was so intimate and their smiles were the absolute sweetest! Once they were pronounced husband and wife, they didn’t just walk away from the officiant, they danced!

Their day was so sweet and we had such a great time together. It was so nice feeling all of the warmth and love from Bobby, Deziray, and their family. I am beyond happy to have been invited to spend their intimate wedding day with them.
