Premium services aren’t about flashy tactics or buzzwords. Premium services are created through clarity, confidence, and truth. They’re intentionally thought out. That’s what makes Krista Walsh and her work so magnetic. She isn’t trying to be the loudest voice in the room, nor does she need to be. Krista’s grounded energy reminds you that it’s possible to be both powerful and peaceful in business. That’s part of what makes her work as a premium website copywriter and brand messaging strategist for boutique agencies and high-end services so magnetic.
Krista and I first met in 2021 through a creative entrepreneur community. Krista was in her early years of entrepreneurship and wanted to ensure that she was creating a genuinely inclusive brand and leadership ethos. Krista and I worked together to ensure she had the tools and understanding to serve and work with diverse, mission-driven founders. Since then, Krista has grown her business to help service-based founders express their genius through words that feel grounded and authentic.
Krista’s process is deeply collaborative. She believes messaging isn’t something that can be handed off to a copywriter and checked off a to-do list. Her work is more that website copy –– it’s transformation through storytelling. Krista’s clients end up with beautifully written pages that leave them feeling reconnected to the heart of their business. Krista says: “Messaging is intimate. It’s you speaking to your audience.” She explains: “My clients and I have conversations, I use their own words and their clients’ words, and together we shape something that truly feels like them.” Having worked with Krista on messaging strategy for my consulting work, I can vouch for her thoroughly collaborative process.
Krista believes that every business owner already has what they need –– genius, ambition, and sophistication. She brings that out in their online presence to match how they’re actually showing up. Krista doesn’t believe in shortcuts or quick-fix trends. Her process takes time, intention, and heart, because she and her clients know lasting transformation isn’t built overnight.
Krista’s work is guided by a deep respect for authenticity and continuing to educate herself as she continues to show up in alignment with her values and doing her part to create a more equitable world. Krista recognizes that getting clear on how she wants to show up in her business regarding advocacy starts with learning and taking action. That’s one of the things that makes her so effective. She doesn’t position herself above her clients; she works alongside them. Krista invites her clients into a collaborative space where reflection and feedback shape every word.
Krista’s emphasis on collaboration and co-creation is something we have in common. When Krista came to me to update her own brand photography, she wanted more than the standard laptop and latte shots. She wanted images that reflected her life –– not just her work. She wanted photos that captured the spirit of Los Angeles and a sense of warmth and authenticity of a space being lived in. Her pup, Bobby Socks even made an appearance, because if you know Krista, you know he’s a part of the story, too.
Krista and I worked together to create images that give a sense of her personality, whether you’re on a video call, hanging out for coffee, or taking a walk in LA. Since my brand photography experiences are a premium service, Krista received a collaborative experience that included an intake and clarity call, photo session planning meeting, collaborative Pinterest board, photo session prep guide, and a post-session image strategy call. The result was a gallery of images that –– unless she makes major changes to her appearance –– will last Krista for years. To make things easy for Krista and any future team members she may bring on, her images are sorted in folders based on categories they’re most likely to be used for. We made sure to account for website hero images, social “meet Krista” images, and images with enough blank space for messaging or marketing copy when Krista is promoting something or simply saying the real shit as she sometimes does on LinkedIn. My favorites are below, but you can check out Krista’s full gallery here.
“I worked with Crystal a few years ago in a coaching capacity and recently came back for brand photography — both times I was blown away. Both things are uncomfortable at first, so you really appreciate Crystal’s presence and interpersonal skills that help you relax into the process. For instance, she would notice when I was getting tense or feeling unnatural in a particular pose — and make me laugh, encourage me to change it up, and help me be myself. And her eye for photography is amazing. I can’t wait to share the final images, because they really feel like ME.”
